Sleep

Sleep eludes me. Like a crack addict, I crave a good nights sleep. My husband snores softly next to me (very frustrating). He sleeps, the sleep that I crave. Instead of tossing, and turning I chose to get out of bed and blog. I don't think there are any studies on blogging as a remedy for sleep, but maybe it will quiet my mind down.

I have tried a hot bath, benadryl, ambien, please don't suggest milk as causes a horrible itchy rash that decreases my sleep further. Any other suggestions are welcome.

I'm off to sleep on the couch (or at least rest my head on the couch).

University of Phoenix

I have one more day off from school, and then back to the grindstone. Nur425(I think). Community nursing. I try not to look too far ahead(keeps the depression at bay). Back to being grammatically correct, using spell check, not having a life (Yuk). Oh well, enough moaning about college. Don't worry, I will moan a lot more in the next few weeks. Oops, I almost forgot using Times font.

Ivan the Terrible

In the middle of a busy day. Ivan and Frankie ran outside. Ivan is a very territorial black lab mix, who chases people down the street barking at them. Most of our neighbors are okay with this, but occasionally a neighbor is a little freaked out by him. I chased him around for about an hour, only to have my husband trick him into the car by opening the door and asking if he wanted to go for a ride.

Ivan was adopted from the local SPCA, after Hurricane Ivan. A very nice person rescued a group of animals from the Gulf port, Mississippi SPCA. One of them was Ivan. His original name was Zeus (which did not suit his disposition). So, we re-christened him Ivan.

I personally think it means to run-like-hell-and-not-listen-to-your-parents. Apparently it really means, God is gracious. Hmm, I think it should be changed in the baby name books. What do you think?
